THE HONEST VERSION

The stock photo is costing you money.

WRITTEN ON A LOT OF SHOOT DAYS

A visitor can identify a stock image in well under a second, and the conclusion they draw is not neutral. It is that you either could not be bothered or could not afford to show the real thing. Both are expensive assumptions to leave lying around your homepage.

The second failure is the annual epic. A company saves up, commissions one beautiful three-minute brand film, and then has nothing to post for eleven months. The film cost real money and is watched by almost nobody, because three-minute films are not what any feed distributes.

Shoot once, cut many. A single well-planned day produces a hero piece, a dozen verticals, a set of stills and a library of B-roll. That is the same budget doing roughly ten times the work.

This is why we plan every shoot day like a military operation. Shot lists mapped to specific channels. Every frame accounted for before the crew arrives.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO

Planned to be cut apart.

01 — PLAN

Shot list before crew call

We arrive knowing every frame we need and which channel it is for. Nobody improvises on the clock. This is the single biggest difference between a productive shoot day and an expensive one.

02 — SHOOT

One day, a month of material

Cinema camera, proper lighting, audio recorded on a real microphone. Interviews, process, product, team, room tone, B-roll. Filmed in a way that survives being cut into fifteen-second pieces.

03 — CUT

Every ratio, every length

One hero edit, plus verticals, squares, six-second bumpers, silent captioned cutdowns for feeds. Delivered in the aspect ratios each platform actually wants.

04 — STILLS

Photography in the same day

Team portraits, product, environment, detail. Consistent with the video because it was shot in the same light by the same people, an hour apart.

WHAT COMES OUT OF ONE DAY

Shot once. Cut for everywhere.

01 · THE FILM

16:9

The brand film — the version that lives on your site and in the room.

02 · SHORT-FORM

9:16

Reels, TikToks and Shorts cut from the same day, not filmed again.

03 · SOCIAL STILLS

1:1 · 4:5

Product, team and detail frames for the feed and the ad account.

05 · FROM THE AIR

Drone

Aerial coverage on the same day, graded to match the ground footage — by the hour, or as a full aerial package.

04 · THE RAWS

Everything

Every frame we shot, handed over. No archive fee, ever.

ONE SHOOT DAY · EVERY DELIVERABLE ABOVE · FULL USAGE RIGHTS, IN PERPETUITY

WHAT YOU END UP WITH

What comes back.

  • —One hero film plus 10–20 short-form cutdowns from a single shoot day
  • —A photo library big enough to run your site, socials and ads for a quarter
  • —Captioned, sound-off-friendly versions, because most feed video is watched muted
  • —Colour-graded and audio-mixed properly — the two things that separate professional from phone
  • —Full commercial usage rights, in perpetuity, with the raw files if you want them
  • —Aerial coverage available on the same shoot day — flown within Transport Canada RPAS rules, with airspace clearance arranged where a site needs it

WHAT IT COSTS

By the day, plus the edit.

Production is quoted as shoot days plus post. The shoot is the expensive part, so we plan hard to make sure a day produces as much usable material as it possibly can.

How we do it for less

Video production costs are driven by crew size, shoot hours and post-production time. We keep crew tight and senior, and use AI-assisted editing, colour grading, audio cleanup and asset tagging to compress post-production from days to hours. The footage is still shot on cinema cameras with proper lighting and sound. The editing is still done by a professional editor.

NOTHING IN SMALL PRINT06 QUESTIONS

The whole deal, said out loud.

?Do I get the raw footage?

Yes — everything we shot, handed over. No archive fee, ever.

?What are the usage rights?

Full commercial usage, in perpetuity. No renewal, no per-platform licence, no expiry on the ads you cut from it.

?What is included in a day?

The film, the vertical cuts, the social stills and the raws — one shoot day produces all of it, not four separate bookings.

?What am I committing to?

Nothing. There are no lock-in contracts and no minimum term. You can stop at the end of any month and take everything with you.

?Who owns the work?

You do, from day one — accounts, source files, footage, domain, hosting and repository, all in your name. Nothing is held hostage if you leave.

?What does the first conversation cost?

Nothing. Twenty minutes, no slides, no deck to sit through. You leave with the first three things we would do whether or not you hire us.

THE REST OF THE STACK

One team, one plan, no gaps between vendors.
